Johnson's Montessori School "Stars" in Action
On August 4, 2013, several JMS students were privileged with the opportunity to help with the announcement of the Arkansas Campaign for Grade Level Reading (AR-GLR) week. AR-GLR is an initiative of the Winthrop Rockefeller Foundation, and the goal of the campaign is that by 2020 all Arkansas children will read at grade-level by the third grade.
These featured JMS students now represent many of our JMS Alumni who attend and academically succeed at schools, including Pulaski Academy, E-Stem Public Charter School, Lisa Academy, Episcopal Collegiate School, Forest Heights STEM Academy, Quest Middle School of West Little Rock, Williams Magnet School, Chenal Elementary School, and Forest Park Elementary School. In May of 2016, our first JMS Alumni graduated from Pulaski Academy and E-Stem Public Charter School. We now have students in colleges across the nation majoring in the natural sciences and social sciences as well as in the arts and humanities.
